Hate Forest - Purity

Welcome to Ukraine! that fine Slavonic country! not so far from mine (but not so close either!lol)...also homeland of that great band called Norkturnal Mortum! Hate Forest as you've certainly guessed is BM band (what else could it be with such a name!!) It's nothing mainstream, we're more like "in the underground" here... but surprise! the production is good! ah ah! Well if you've never heard of them, let's say it's kindda in the early Burzum style...that is with equally dark atmospheres but definitely more powerful! Don't expect anything original from that album...this is just plain and simple but this is what i call BM, ...no poppy shit like Dimmu Borgir for instance!...i puked on their last album incidentally!! ah ah!! so let's have a stroll in the Hate Forest, rambling along the rawness of The Black Spirit!lol
enjoy!

Hexstatic - master view 2004

if I remember well (which is not for sure lol) I discovered these guys (a duo from the UK) by looking at who took part in the soundtrack of the movie called Snatch. their style is some mix of easy listening electronica in the vein of The chemical Brother, and more experimental / ambient stuff, ...even including a song sung in Japanese!lol. These guy are pretty good at what they're doing ...actually i don't like the second track too much but that's the only one you might want skip (and it's not so bad even so!lol) cause everything else is well worth listening to!!...well let's say it's a moment of calm before the upcoming storm! enjoy!

Dodheimsgard - Supervillain Outcast (2007)

Black Metal again? well yes and no! overall we can say this is BM because of the ambiance and general atmosphere of the songs but it's nothing of the usual stuff! actually there are a lot of electronic / industrial noises and the music is more like thrash to my ears than what you would expect from a BM band! it's not weak lol but it's certainly not extremely violent either! anyway the musicians are pretty good and the songs great as well so if you are ready for a creative band, that should not be a problem! i leave you to it...but i guess that if there are dudes to sit their shinning bottoms on the fluffy throne of "EBM", that might well be them! ah ah! =)

Tsjuder - Desert Northern Hell (2004)

Well! how to begin??! ...if Tsjuder was a toy, let's say it would be sharp and not intended at kiddos!lol indeed, nothing really original here, we all know that kind of object are not intended at everybody... but who has never wished to own one!?? ..this could be the occasion actually! ...Tsjuder is an underground band, so keep that at the back of your mind when you'll listen to the album, cause as you'll see these norsemen are proficient musicans and it's only at one remote from excellent (some improvement could be done on certain lead parts but whatever!). i underline the fact cause it's pretty seldom the case when we speak about underground BM! ...what a bunch of wankers! ah ah! the album is very intense =) (there are a few mid-paced passages in the songs though) and overall it's in the vein of stuff like Darkthrone or Marduk from that point of view. Pretty good assault IMO...if you like the art of warfare of course! enjoy this epic act of darkness!

Kataklysm - Live In Deutschland - The Devastation Begins 2007

I'm sure you all know about one of the greastest 死亡金属 band from Canada (Quebec)! they released a DVD at the beginnig of this year...and Sh#t, what a gig! this is the CD that comes with the DVD ( i guess you can get the CD on its own as well...so GET EITHER ONE OR THE OTHER!!lol) whatever! i'm drifting away sorry! =) Kataklysm which is a band i grew up with has lost nothing of its brutality, technicality and destructive power after more than a "decade of aggression"!!lol ;) well,...no more bullshit, this is real death metal, that is DM at its finest! what do that mean?? ...uhm .. just that it will turn you into a frenzied bloodsucking beast ready to cut up the whole fuck##' hood with your claws and splatter guts on the walls!! ah ah! seems pretty good a perspective, uh??? dare you try not to listen, that Mighty Odin himself would come down is chariot of thunder and kick your ass so hard you'll think you're in time warp??lol ...but we don't want that, do we??! of course not!lol enjoy the musical cataclysm my friends! \m/

Dengue Fever - Escape From Dragon House 2005

This is an American band which plays quite refreshing pop (or perhaps it might even sound experimental to some (rather secluded!) people!lol) i pretty much like the voice of the chick singing...somewhat psychedelic!! ;), i'm sure many of you will feel about the same! the music is overall very much influenced by late 60's pop/rock...and you can feel it as it's really funky and GrOovY!lol the bass lines are really cool IMO, though their are not very complex!lol there's definitely a South American colour to the music but there are certainly other influences, as to me it sounds also a bit "Asian" at times ...whatever, a pretty decent record which i recommend warmly to each and everyone of you! =)

Ozric Tentacles - Strangitude 1991

This band, i'm sure you've never heard of! well at least i had not till a friend of mine recently sent an album to me by mail! if you like stuff like early Pink Floyd, or Porcupine Tree for instance, you'll certainly won't forget it! this band has been playing since the early 80's so you can easily figure out the kind of sound they'll deliver. the music is pretty psychedelic with lotta synth and noises/sounds, the guitar are really in the 70's style, like Hendrix to a certain extent but it's not guitar oriented at all, more like ambient overall...well i'like that stuff a lot indeed! i'm glad he gave me that!lol BTW, this is from a double CD so this is just one of the 2 CDs, as it was a bit too big/long to upload, but if you're interested i'll play the other one! let's say it's some kind of ear warm-up!lol have a nice trip...don't go too far! ah ah!

Blind Idiot God - Undertow 1989

This is an all instrumental album which is not really easy to describe!, actually i'd say the music is divided between what's more or less on the "punk" side of the fence and what's more or less ina a "dub" style... but that's very approximate a description, as it's rather experimental whatever the style they're playing!lol actually there's a featuring with John Zorn... so you see why it's kind of a pain in the arse to give you an idea!lol hope you enjoy!

Metal Safari - Return to My Blood 2006

Japan has some serious warriors within its bosom, and Metal Safari is certainly not among the weakest!lol they have a very thight and heavy production that fit perfectly their style cause they play some Pantera inspired metal (far beyond driven period) but of course they are not only a replica otherwise i wouldn't even have payed attention! overall they are more melodical than stuff like Pantera (with the use of clear vox, in the style of DOWN a bit) which paradoxically give their music even more power in the end!lol anyway, prepare for serial riffing and some crazy headbanging! somehow a tribute to Dimebag! R.I.P \m/

While you're all sound asleep, it's time for a sneaky play!lol This is a band from Michigan and they play...guess what?? yes that's it! the forbidden words!lol ... 碾核!! yummie music! Well actually it's not the typical pig screaming boring Grindcore, it's a mixture between 死亡金属, 碾核 and experimental! of course as any grindcore band, they are full of resources to come up with unexpected titletracks, like track Nb 4! music wise, it's a bit like Cryptopsy meeting Deicide ...in a shaker!lol so beware you never know what to expect from these lunatics! even the bravest warrior must remain on his guard! c'me on, let's have some fun with the bad guys! =)

Bob Katsionis - Imaginary Force 2004

This is not really a guitarist, but on his keyboard, this guy is a real guitar hero!lol actually, his name is not really famous but most of you already heard about him as he played with many warrior band! such as Nightfall or Septic flesh to name a few! (he's from greece so no wonder!lol) the songs are pretty original and the musicianship is top notch, no doubt about it! don't worry it's not only a scratchy old boring keyboard lol, you'll hear plenty of nice guitars and double bas as well... but guitars are only playing rhythm...and to tell the truth there's no problem having this guy replacing a guitar hero! you'll quickly guess why! =) enjoy this fantastic (IMHO!lol) album! \m/

No Return - Self Mutilation (2001)

For 花燈節 or 元宵節 (i prefer the first one!), i'll light my lantern with the flame of a band from Paris which play a very energetic Thrash Metal! They are not very well know (even in France!) though they are indeed pretty good, and definitely don't get the attention they deserve IMO! Their music is a bit in the vein of Slayer or Testament for instance,... that is quick paced with good riffing...and nice leads (well, good 90's Metal style!!lol) one of their particularity is that they use samples (more on their following albums) to create various ambiances and give their music a somewhat original touch (which is not so easy with thrash!lol)! hope you enjoy!

金屬花!

Rwake - Voices Of Omens (2007)

Rwake is a band from the south of the U.S but they do not play anything connected to country...even loosely!lol Actually their music is very heavy and dark, and rather experimental(or psychedelic!)...a bit like Neurosis's. Well to cut a long story short, if you like old school BM atmosphere(in the vein of Burzum, or Dissection) or stuff like My dying Bride, and fancy at the same time weird sound textures (there are indeed many instrumental parts) with raw and angry vox, DO NOT miss that one, cause it's pretty F##ckin' good! ;)

Air Guitar Battle Vol. 3: James Byrd - Crimes Of Virtuosity (2005)

It's late, and i'm rather tired, but hey "fight till you die" they say! so i'm still standing amidst my forefather and lo! listen,... at this decisive moment, a striking and powerful anthem rises high into the air, like a super warrior, in the style of Malmsteen or Blackmore, Byrd spread his winged suit of armor (lol!) and rises above the bloodstained battlefield, and with a perfectly mastered intensity, and a stormy, stunning classical battle style, he hits flawlessly and relentlessly at the enemy, spreading death n'roll in an unrivaled enthusiasm! Never underestimate sheer willpower! ah ah! \m/ ^^ \m/

Melechesh - Emissaries 2006

This is a band the leader of which is from Jerusalem i guess, otherwise they are from the Netherlands! They plays a mixture between metal and more oriental/traditional music (but not too much even so!lol). Their music is quite technical and agressive but it's above all refreshing and original! if you know about Bethzaida and the colour of their music, it's a bit like that (the oriental influences i was talking about) but much much more powerful!lol Their lyrics focus on old sumerian legends (dating back to 3000BC, a bit less old than the Chinese civilisation!)that recount the birth of humanity, many are connected to Zacharia Sitchin's The 12th Planet (if you have time to read it!)! Overall an excellent album to which you should lend an ear forthwith! Hail!

Elend - Winds Devouring Men (2003)

This a the beginning of a new year so i guess it's time for me to give away my blessing for this coming Pig Year. You know that i like this french band called Elend quite a lot. As i consider these musicians to master their Art like no other, this album, which is one of my favourite, will be my token of gratitude and friendship to you!
Regarding the music, with this album, the Biblical trilogy is now over so it opens the way to new perspectives, especially regarding vocals. But don't get me wrong, Elend may play classical-inspired music, their ambiances are IMHO certainly on par with the most extreme ones, suffused with the darkest emotional content any black soul out there can create...a flawless and eternal journey into lands where the sun never shines...so better take your umbrella if you lost your horned helmet!ah ah!

Dragonlord - Rapture (2001)

That last play of your my bro, like Odin's mighty call, has somehow awoken a memory under my horn adorned helmet! DragonLord is back to life in my heart! That band of crazy maddafackez is certainly well known among you and famous for their great and heroic deeds!! Among other, let me say that in this band you'll find Eric Peterson from Testament \m/, Jon Allen from Sadus =D, crazy Steve Giorgio from Cynic ^^ and also 2 other less famous warriors! Xtreme and melodical, you named it! look out! a lightning bolt has just streaked the sky open and all of sudden the earth turned red! off we sail, on our chariot of fire! i'm wielding my sword! ah ah! \m/

Witchery - Symphony For The Devil (2001)

If you're a fan of heavy metal and thrash, Witchery should certainly appeal to you! they use pretty simple song structures but their speedy rock'n'roll rhythm and asskicking leads executed in the old way always cheer me up!lol this album even has a certain BM colour, but some kind of r'n'r BM like the last Darkthrone's release to a certain extent (but Witchery hasn't such a thin and edgy sound like Darkthrone has!!). enjoy the symphony! \m/.

手嶌葵 - 春の歌集

Teshima Aoi(手嶌葵) is a strange girl! when you listen to her, she definitely gives the impression to be very shy! nevertheless if you like beautiful voices you'll certainly count her among your favourite artists! i discovered her with her first album in which there's not so much music ... except for her voice (a bit like "religious" music), this one is more "musical" but the main melody is still her voice. to me her music is strongly influence by what i call "traditional japanese thingy"!^^ i have no word to describe it so better get it and listen! Hope you enjoy!

Paris Match - After Six

Far away from the battlefield, in a quiet and peaceful place lives Paris Match, a "Jazz" band from Japan (so perhaps you already heard about them), however their music is not like what one calls standard jazz at all!lol it's perhaps closer to R&B, Groove music style (i don't like R&B!!lol). Anyway they play very sweet and tuneful melodies. To me it's a bit like Herbie Hancock's music, but in a less complex way of course, and i like to listen to that stuff a lot when i'm driving, so i just stay down behind the wheel!!lol Well, we've passed Valentine's Day ...but this could come in handy if you missed it!lol

Canvas Solaris - Penumbra Diffuse 2006

Canvas Solaris is an awesome progressive band, their music is all instrumental and both powerfull and melodical. Actually the precision with which they have constructed that masterpiece is quite impressive (cause as you'll see it's also frigging experimental)! if Phantomsmasher has exhausted and confounded you, lol, you can rely on canvas Solaris to make you feel as good as new for before they were good grindcore/death warriors! =) I have no idea how many people are involved in that band (only three i think! ah ah!) but you can hear many different instruments like percussion (tablas i guess), sax, mandolin..etc...there's a cool Indian colour/dimension to the music which i like a lot as well! a MUST HAVE IMO!

well with valentine's day, i was tempted to play some pop to please you my beloved lady warriors!lol!! ah ah kidding! =) ... but forget about flowers, cause i decided to bring you in Anno Domini 2099 instead! ready? fasten your seat belt! UB's behind the wheel, it's gonna bounce!lol
indeed at this future time lives a man called James Plotkin who is certainly John Zorn's reincarnated if nothing else!lol this is a pretty experimental and highly flammable stuff we have here, like Atari teenage riot meeting Aphex twin at a grindcore meeting!...this is nothing we know about, but i guess this is certainly called free-something!lol well obviously that kind of "music" (i'm not sure that's what it's called) is not for everyone that's for sure and as i don't want to scrape anyone off the wall with a spoon!lol ... let's say there are at least two prerequisite before you step into that one...first you must bear musical violence like digital grindcore stuff, cause there's hardly any pause, second (that one is in case an outsider come in here!lol) you must be fearless and very open minded! whatsoever, you know my motto, What Doesn't Kill You Only Makes You Stronger! \m/

Trepalium - Alchemik Clockwork Of Disorder 2006 [Phase 6, The Final Strike ]

Our last assault got pretty messy, not to say it completely fucked up (as i was told by a friend of mine), and many managed to escape what was supposed to be an unstoppable force of destruction! damn it! i guess technology is good for weaklings who just dabble in war and will never achieve the higher efficiency of a fine troops of beserkers! So i resorted to sent an emergency radio call to France again and guess what...newly created beserker Trepalium was sent over, a groovy murderer mastering the age-old art of warfare! ah ah, who's laughing now??! from Funk, to Jazz or even Progressive he can do it all, no wonder since he underwent a thorough and intense training, in the same way other famous warriors such as Gojira and Meshuggah were formed! let me tell you that none has ever met that fearsome and awe-inspiring killing machine twice! so i guess WAR IS JUST OVER!!lol though it's always been the same answer, i'll soon make a report for Trepalium's last question whatsoever!lol \m/

Monkey Insane (潑猴) - It's Our Time 2004 [Base Exploration, New Tactical Perspective]

Awaiting the imminent arrival of dozens of panzers, scouts were dispatched around to assess the potential influence of this newly conquered command post! In an underground lab two agents discovered notes about 潑猴, a research project which is certainly well known to you as they come from Tapei! After a close examination our scientific team discovered they were attempting at mixing HxC with electronic and hip hop ...luckily we arrived before the experiment was used against us!...but now that new weapon of high precision is on our side! i can't wait to witness its punchy and fantastic effect on the remaining enemy troops!lol

Rudra - The Aryan Crusade (2001) [Troops Deployment, Phase Two]

Let's launch our first raid from an unexpected continent where a troop of furious warriors is gathered and awaiting permission to attack! ah ah! Squadron Rudra is from Singapore and they play a simple but highly efficient death metal. The songwriting is really good as the vox and the musicianship! with such precision and speed of execution, they certainly shoot dead any target within their reach!... unfortunately, there are apparently 2 tracks missing... but who cares!? not me at least!lol and i guess 10 perfect hit will do plenty enough damages to any daring enemy!lol

Inactive Messiah - Be My Drug (2006) [Opening Warfare Strategy, Phase 1]

Inactive Messiah is a Greek messenger who brings good tiding to all and any idle warior... as announced by 大A兄 war is definitely coming!! actually they couldn't have chosen a more appropriate moniker,.. if you were inactive, they'll bring you some action!lol their style has been deeply influenced by other famous greek band IMO (like septic flesh, nightfall...etc) so it's not the most original band ever but what they do they do it well! it's very heavy and symphonic and any warrior should get something out of it as it's quite diversified! a good soundtrack for any coming war IMHO =D ... besides these guys are not devoid of humour cause has you'll see the album includes a M.Jackson cover (beat it!) and as you certainly know it's "Eddie Van Halen" who wrote the lead for that track! so hope you enjoy that one!

Hacride - Amoeba (2007)

Well, Hacride is a band from France, and more precisely from Poitier, it's a city in the north (where the Futuroscope is, if you've never heard about it, it's a massive park dedicated to image technology with really HUGE screens and video attractions..well enough geography for now!!) Hacride plays some death metal but it's not really death metal...so even if you like power metal stuff, try it, you might like it ..or we might have to scrape you off the wall!lol...actually they are quite experimental, a bit like Meshuggah i would say and very original, there is even a flamenco-core track in the album! Believe me these dude fuck## rule! and after bands like scarve or gojira (which i played already) i guess we can that french metal is really rising! cool, we had a pretty bad (and well deserved) reputation at it!lol hope you enjoy, you, bunch of lunatic berzerkers! \m/

Wisdom In Chains - Die Young [2005]

老K兄's last play, this great band called The Italian Stallion, inspired me for that one! The description will be pretty straightforward and simple actually...this is pure HxC punk, that is raw energy which will make you feel like you want to grab things and throw them in the air or anywhere else...am i the only one to experience that feeling?!lol anyway prepare for some serial riffers on guitars, drum and bass and a hoarse and raunchy voice shouting inside your head!!

The Faceless - Akeldama 2006

This American band is not easily categorized...unless you just call it brutal! They formed in 2005 and plays some kind of mixture combining melodic death, violent grindcore, with strange time signature, like in progressive, and furious breakdown...it's as powerful as Nile but their style is pretty much different and much more experimental...there's not many band to compare them with so i guess the best thing to do is still to listen to that masterpiece of violence and technique! for true warriors only! \m/

Moray Eel - Psycho Delusion (2005)

This band comes from Russia and has one particularity...it's a female fronted thrash metal band! actually it's the first one i've ever heard in my life so i thought it might be of interest to you as well!lol music wise, nothing downright original... i'm not too much into that new wave of thrash metal ...though it's far from bad and quite enjoyable, it's just like S.O.A.D, Machine Head..that kind of stuff! but what's really interesting here is the chick singing and screaming/growling...a bit in the style of Otep...actually she give a very agressive aspect to the music! the only thing i regret is that despite the fact they play thrash there is nothing i would call a lead...and that's a shame! (that's why old school will always rules!!lol) but well can't have everything i guess! enjoy!

Narziß - Ebenbilder 2000

This is a band from Germany who sing in German...but no they aren't like Ramstein!lol Actually they plays HxC in the vein of Pro-pain and the likes =) Ebenbilder was their very first release and as you'll hear it's pure energy! i am definitely partial to old school styles and it's true that bands playing that style also often plays cliche stuff, but not Narziß who has very good ideas to give that old style a new life! a good HxC album to brutalize your neighbourhood!! The Auburn System - The Auburn System (2005)

This is a band from Massachusset which i found by chance and actually i find this Ep quite good (certainly not the most original work i've ever heard but very well excecuted and well worth a shot IMHO!). It's also the first thing this band released i guess so they have a brilliant future waiting ahead, for they certainly are a bunch of proficient musicians. Their style mix Grind/hardcore vox with death/grind riffs, and indeed i really liked their borderline style, very groovy, darn powerful and rather complex (could be more diversified given their skill though but that's certainly on the agenda of their next release!!)...if you remember Gojira, we're not so far in terms of thickness!lol we'll surely hear from them in a short while =)

It's been a long time since black metal has not surprised me, but Urn did! actually looking at the cover they just seem like any other BM band...fire, pentacleshits... blablabla!lol but let me tell you that these dudes got the spirit of R'n'R flowing in their veins! their style is nothing of the usual black metal, neither is their sound. actually they are just walking a fine line between black and death metal, but are not a mixture of the two style....true beserkers unleashed!

UneXpect - Utopia (1999)

That one would have really pleased 大A兄 as it is a damn fine album about sailors and unexplorered intergalactic seas!lol these dudes are from the french province called quebec, canada, and they will not make your ears bleed, they will make you headband untill your head snaps off your neck and fall down to the ground!! actually that's the kind of band we often look for but are helpless to find! there's about all and everything in their music, it's symphonic, powerful, atmospheric, goes from gloomy death/black to epic power/prog... man, if there was but one metal band to rescue on this goddamn planet, these dudes may well be the one eligible for they mix up the finest elements from metal music with a proficiency seldom witnessed before, if ever! A little jem shining out in the outter darkness of the cosmic sea!

Onslaught - Killing Peace (2007)

Onslaught is an excellent band from the U.K (England) which started in 1986 and since then they always remained heavy, speed, and brutal! this album here is only to be released in March 2007 so the cover above is not that of the album...you'll have to wait for the official release to see it!! ah ah too bad! Anyway this new album by the thrash legend Onslaught is simply and truely awesome (reminds me of early Metallica and Slayer material), and the production improved a lot, it is now very good... indeed, it was produced and mixed by Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Exodus, Arch Enemy) at Backstage Studios, Derbyshire...so there are roaring guitars, powerful drumming and groovy bass, aggressive vox...well thrash metal at its best! a must-buy when it comes out...meanwhile enjoy this new masterpiece! \m/

Progressive is not my style at all, but i must tell this is nevertheless a very good album, ...and actually i find it doesn't really sound like most of the stuff we (or i) call progressive!lol...of course it's lyrical and technical but to me, this band sounds closer to stuffs more or less like Iron Maiden! and if you like guitarist, Anand Mahangoe from Sphere of Souls is a fine musician who know how to stay original while playing very cool melodies and powerfull riff...or nice ballads! =)

Henderson, Smith & Wooten - Vital Tech Tones 1998

This trio plays jazz/Fusion and all the musicians are top-notch to say the least, so the musicianship is flawless and rather impressive, but that's not really that important! what's important is that their song have a really cool and groovy feeling that is often discarded in that musical style ...and often replaced by a boring display of vituosity and shredding! here we have both, the virtuosity and the groove, and believe me they are acting as a foil to each other...like blues rock with amphetamines!

Susan Weinert Band - Crunch Time

Here's a highly skilled woman from Germany whom i recommend warmly if you've never listened to her, which is most likely as she isn't that famous outside the jazz-rock /fusion circle! she could be considered some sort of guitar hero as well, but her playing is much more subtle and emotional and not that freaking quick, but anyway the musicianship flies high on that record, whether we're talking about the bass player, the drummer...or any of the musician for that matter, and my ears greatly appreciate it! style wise, she's not really like Shawn Lane but there are similarities between their playing here and there of course....well to conclude, with this one we have top notch musicians and a freaking awesome album! so check it out!

Tamás Szekeres - Guitarmania

This guy is from Hungary i guess, and the album was released at the beginning of the 90's (though the very first version of it is from 1989, but he re-recorded afterwards!) this album as very nice leads, cool ballads and the likes...of course it's not really revolutionnizing anything and if you can't stand guitar heros, better keep at bay!lol but otherwise this is a pretty good instrumental album that anyone will appreciate either for its melodical content or its technicality! a nice shredder that do not only goes for speed but also melody! =)

Gorath - The Fourth Era (2006)

Well to present that one, i was tempted to begin by saying that, at last, i had found a BM band with a decent sound quality and well composed material, cause that is the case but after several listening, i realized that what i like more about this awsome band is that it somewhat represents the sum and outcome of many of my favourite bands! If you like Emperor, Satyricon, Immortal, and (but this one is more remotely connected) Dissection, listen to that one straightaway! and if you just wonder what an awsome BM band sounds like in 2006 then this is an excellent one for you! wield your axe and have a nice trip on Odin's chariot! \m/

Natsumen - Never Wear Out Your Summer XXX!!! (2006)

This is a Japanese band made up of not less than 8 musicians! there are two guitarists, a drummer, a trumpet player, two saxophone players, a keyboard player, and a guy strumming the bass! being jazz it's of course quite technical and the musicianship is excellent but what's interesting is that this band is eons removed from the style! they are an utterly spaced out psychedelic octet and you'll be freaking out, blown away, phazed out in the intricacy of their music, whatever happens to you it'll only be a matter of seconds! period! don't miss that one! \m/

Deadman is a Japanese Rock band (域界/visual rock?) made up of 4 dudes and i reckon it may be well known among you! I don't have many info about them so anything is welcome, the good side being that this will prevent me to speak volumes about them!lol actually they play very good rock n' roll and this is an album i enjoy quite a lot for it has good melodies, rocking rhythm, and of course the musicianship is great!

Russian Circles - Enter (2006)

This is a band from Chicago with only 3 members in it. They have no vox but play very catchy and epic riffs, and loads of groove as well. But there is more than that, i'm talking about the ambiance here! They sound like metal but their structure is more like a jazzy / post-rock kind of stuff, and surprinsingly enough, their songs give somewhat the impression of a rather chaotic and dissonant energic wave which is yet very quiet! 6@@ captivating! ...don't know if that sounds very clear to you!lol but what is clear to me is that this is a damn fine discovery! enjoy a grandiose band!
