Nightfall - Lyssa - Rural Gods And Astonishing Punishments (2004)

The same band again...but roughly 10 years later,... their style has considerably evolved! Honestly i prefer what they did before but this album is quite interesting and worth a listening whatsoever otherwise it wouldn't be here!...it's just that they have now a different style and a new, more powerful sound which does not match with my definition of death metal, it's too much NUmetal oriented (though it is still remains death metal, perhaps a bit too slow for me overall!)...well i can't reproach them with not going in circles! Hail nightfall, keep it up!

just like you i find that one is pretty decent but growing up while listening to the other one ...well this one just doesn't stand! being in a band i understand it's easier to somewhat "follow the trend" to stay alive, even if one do it in his own way as it is the case here. actually there are very few bands which keep their style unchanged while offering new and interesting material, it's a darn difficult thing to do...so if i have to give one away, i know which i'll discard!lol
