Elend - The Umbersum

Elend is a very peculiar band! actually they are not part of the metal scene, so to speak, but the emotional content of their music is on par with the darkest BM band. The Umbersum is part of a trilogy (inspired by Milton's Paradise Lost) and this chapter is undeniably the most sinister...and it is quite an experience in itself...just try to listen to it at night in the middle of a forest or jump in your car and drive to any remote places where human being can hardly access, when you get there, listen to it...you might just experience what many people call fear!

to me this album stands out and apart of what they have done, and that's why i played it (adding that it is discontinued and rather difficult to find except as a second hand album for a handful of lucky and relentless hunters (if you happened to have missed it when it was released). i like to listen to that it in the dead of night when everything else is quiet ...or at dawn (but that did not happened so often!lol) especially when the landscape is shrouded in mist, i guess that's when it uncovers its truest significance...it always makes the world seem magical! lol
