Zuriaake - 瘏ン / Afterimage of Autumn

Welcome back, i have some free time at the moment, so i thought it would be wise to take advantage of it and play some new stuffs! so off we go, with Zuriaake which comes from China and more precisely, Taiwan! =D and where to start...well if you think BM is just going in circle, just listen to them, they'll be like a gust of fresh wind blowing in your face..and perhaps even blowing you away!^^ the sound is pretty tight and the production is good, without losing the raw side of things...the drumming is really interesting in my opinion, as it's far away from that speedy punk rhythm that is too often heard ...well i dont want to describe that album too much... but if you like cold/crude black metal, in the line of Burzum/ Satanic Warmaster, but with some pastoral ambiances like in Arkanum and catchy epic atmospheres in the vein of Nokturnal Mortum...lend an ear to that one...it might get chopped and hopefully it'll be minced and diced! ah ah! Taiwan's power grabbed me by the balls once more! \m/

Probot - Probot 2004

If you like metal...well that one is definitely needed in your collection. No need to introduce Dave Grohl i guess..who doens't know Nirvana or Foo Fighters?... well, on that one he managed the incredible feat to gather most of the major Metal figures from the late 80's/ early 90's together! obviously by doing so, you get a rather ecclectic outcome and in the end it sounds a bit like a compilation, which it actually is IMHO! However, i really like the result and the personality of each of the songs which really squares with what one would expect the guest to play/sing. Hope you enjoy! \m/

09 Seasick (Part II: Oceanborne)
10 Seasick (Part III: Silent Sunrise)

Some of you may like it raw, some may not...some may even fancy a cup of gore but with a different kind of taste....Well if you wonder what might be the future of BM, then Nachtmystium is likely to lay a few conspicious clues on the table for you! as you follow their footprints, along your way up the mountain!, you'll certainly pick up different elements idosyncratic (ouuuuhh!!) of the BM style ...and if you're lucky enough to mix them up in the correct way..cause there's no chemistry for dummies manual in that case i'm afraid!, then the outcome might be somewhat similar to the inner alchemy manisfesting itself from the catchy compound Nachtmystium created! psyched-out atmospheres entwined with sharp and cold riffing to which, like by the brush of an impressionist, a smidgen of epic dimension as been added...all this seems rather enticing uh?...well it is! ^^ so check that one out it's bloody...or bleedin' awesome! ...another couple of bottles for table 666! =P

Gargoyle - March of the Heroes (2006)

i'm just back from the south of china where i spent some time in the mountains, but back for a very short while, as i leave again tomorrow morning! so here's a quick play with an awesome band that most of you probably already know... or perhaps it didn't reach south africa or taiwan yet but i very doubt it! ah ah! music-wise it's some war like epic thrash, or perhaps we can call that black-death asskicking oriental-o-frantic! .. whatever, who gives a shit anyway! ^^ it's quite melodic/symphonic, but rather powerful and heavy... sometimes it reminds me of Samael (in their "passage album" period), especially because of the vox but it has a bit more gothic overtones overall... the thing is that i just love all the songs in that album which does not happen that often, so i guess it really qualifies as a brilliant one! hope you dig it, cuz they rox! \m/

鄧麗君 - 日語紀念精選 7

i don't think i need to present 鄧麗君...do i? she's so famous here and still quite popular after all that time indeed! though she's chinese (from taiwan) she sings a lot of songs in japanese (as the title of this album says!), probably because besides being famous all over the asian continent, she is extremely famous there as well! anyway most of these songs are really cool and smooth ...so i hope you'll like 'em... i do for sure! ^^

Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard - Batman Begins

Despite the fact that this is another OST, i rarely listen to that kind of thing... but this one is quite good IMHO. I like that band called Elend a lot and i played a few of their album before....but with this OST, i have to say that Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard have really managed to craft the same dark oppressive atmosphere. No guitar, no vocals so to speak (though you'll hear a few ethereal voices once and a while), just powerful and enthralling classical music... Hope you enjoy.

Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas - Music From The Motion Picture [Soundtrack] 1998

A very cool OST in my opinion is the one from fear and loathing in las vegas, lots of good rock bands and an excellent selection of classic rock songs or even anthem some might say! nothing violent here we're back in the 60's/70's, everything is rainbow coloured and smells like the flowers of peace (whatever that means! ^^)... so empty your pockets, take your blotters out and creep up the bandwagon of panic and frenzy....but be quick, there're sparks all around! .... i guess the head of the white rabbit is about to explode! see you on the obscure road to cloud nine! ah ah! \m/

Raxinasky - Transport de viandes (2005)

This is a band from belgium, and they are completely fucked up ... so it's not for everybody! if you don't like experimental and weird stuff don't get that one or you'll be really disappointed cause there is nothing consistent to say the least! ah ah but if you enjoy stuff like THE FLYING LUTTENBACHERS you might like that one... though it is about 10 times weirder! the music is quite heavy but they also use lots of noises... in the end this droning, chaotic and utterly disharmonic soundscape is downright unclassifiable.... the drumming is quite crazy and frantic and at times you really wonder what's going on.. as if you were about to get fucked up in the head as well! ^^ a few screams and growling here and there but overall it is instrumental music.... they also have atmospheric part... well to cut it short, i think the best description so to speak is like a grind version of Cheval de frise! what a frightening perspective indeed! \m/

The Sounds - Dying To Say This To You

Let's chill out for some time with that nice pop band! completely mainstream, the music is not spectacular or exceptional but it is definitely good and entertaining! most of the songs are mid tempo with hooking and catchy melodies.... i think i like that album because the bass is very present, which gives it a strong disco flavor ... and the singer also has this peculiar accent from northern europe ( a bit like Bjork) that makes them sound quite exotic to my ears! enjoy!

ルルティア (Rurutia) -R°

At the moment i cannot access blogspot again.... same problem that i had at the beginning.... so wait and see, i may be back some day \m/

enough violence for now, ルルティア is here to soothe you all away! drop your blood-stained axe and seat down! what is this? uhm... Jpop mainly, sometimes venturing in soft rock but nothing really aggressive, quite the opposite actually! i love this band for one simple reason, the voice of the lead vocalist...so ... ah ah! well so cute! *.* perhaps you won't like it ...but i find the same sweetness in her voice as in my previous play, Mylene Farmer, though they have rather different voice and style. the music i cool and the melodies are quite interesting and subtle... If you dont like it here i give you my fav song... 愛し子よ ...and also this one, the following one actually, which is pretty cool as well ロスト・バタフライ...they are not the most rockin ones ... i let you find those ones! ah ah! enjoy!

Dylath-Leen - Insecure (2005)

In the line of strange bands, i have a follow up, called DL! they come from France and believe it or not when you listen to their stuff but the singer is actually a girl...with such a sweet voice that she carries me as far away as my beloved poppy girlies! ah ah! but better not get too much on her nerve i guess, unless you want your fat ass wooped bad cause she's pretty tough! ^^ music wise i reckon it is something like Deathcore or NU thrash (if there is such a thing!) but ... i know fuckall about genres so perhaps i'm wrong! anyway, inside the pandora box are chunky melodical guiatr riffs, black/death/(female)clean vox, pounding drum assaults and a blasting bouncy bass .... what else would you ask for!?? let me guess...1000$ and a bl£* joX perhaps!! ah ah \m/

Arkha Sva - Gloria Satanae (2007)

with this one we're not investigating melody! this band is quite strange actually, but they come from japan so ... it won't be the firt time ah ah! they have a very special way to play BM, the sound is rather raw and "blurred" (because of their use and perhaps abuse of reverb) and yet despite what i said above it is quite melodical in the end! the prod is not great but i'd say it's alright even so! i especially like the vox hovering between grim guttural growlings and screams a la craddle of filth! the first time i listened to that album i was not much convinced of its quality but after a few listening i changed my mind (as i often do! ahah) and now i quite enjoy that one because of its unusual quality and aspect! hope you do as well =)

Hocico - Signos De Aberracion (2002)

it's been a while since i played any indus, so let's fly to mexico for a short while, just the time we enjoy Hocico! as a lover of hardkore tekno (i dont mean the thunderdrome gabber shit!! *spewing up*) and KMFDM, there is everything i like in that album. i have never mixed any metal stuff but i guess this one album would get along well with any hardtek vinyl of mine! as you will see/hear, it's quite dancefloor oriented..and yet pretty heavy(metal) and dark! who would have guessed that mexico had so many hallucinogenic besides mushrooms!

Chokebore - Motionless 1994

Chokebore is not the kind of band you would listen everyday from morning to night, but that doesn't mean they are not interesting! Music wise it's like rock or what some call grunge...broadly speaking, more or less like Nirvana kindda stuff. The thing is that the mood is quite depressing ...and that's when you'll enjoy this album the most....when you're down and angry at the whole fuckin' world round you for not being kind enough! ^^ so better grab this one... and the next time your mama spanks you for something you've not done, and you feel very very bad, like you want to kick the shit outta something, dont take it out on your toys, just press play and enjoy! ah ah =D

Aabsinthe - In Search Of Light 2007

Aabsinthe, a famous drink that intoxicate and enthrall your spirit...yummmmm, one of my fav! ^^ but here, we are dealing with French Progressive Death Metal and i must say that these guys are quite captivating! if you remember Gojira, then it is as heavy but we are millions years ahead in terms of intricacy, actually you will need to listen to the album quite a few times before you can get everything they have to offer, it's not pop music (no offense intended)! ^^ it's brutal, quite original (IMHO) and flawlessly executed! these guys knows how to handle an axe ...so wanna get the chop..or would you prefer to have a go at the guillotine, they know it all!?? ah ah! \m/

Aabsinthe - In Search Of Light 2007
Genre: Progressive Death Metal

Mylene Farmer - Avant Que L'ombre (2005)

Well before i fell into metal i think i have always loved poppy stuffs ^^, ...before i even knew what it was actually! for more than 15 years now this artist has been the only one french women i really like...but the funny thing is that despites her music, she is not that mainstream...indeed, she's quite controvertial! of course to get this you must understand the lyrics (but lots of them are sexually oriented and quite daring!). She's quite shy and is known to be a fragile beauty...sometimes she even cries on stage (for real or just as a stage show, one will never know, but i guess it is for real! ^^)... she's also the one who put this young french girl called Alizee under the spotlight...well hope you like her...i definitely do!

Destroyer Destroyer - The dead sleep like us for a reason [2006]

DD is a cool band that play some grindcore/mathcore/deathmetal stuff...it's very heavy, brutal and kindda rugged! well i dont know much about them except that they are a bunch of lunatic as always in that kind of band, and that the musicianship is extremely good =) the album is also too short i think! ...the only thing that i deeply regret is the prod ... rather muffled... well it is not that tragic!lol but i think this band and its music deserve a better one....well hope you enjoy anyway!

Adultery - Slovanská Krev 2004

before the week end is over and before i get cut again ^^, let's enjoy some Adultery! i'm talking music here guys! they comes from the Czech Republic, a pretty good place for everything that is tagged BM IMHO. Their BM is tinged with folkish elements but actually contrary to what most of the bands do, that is BM parts then a folky passages or interludes, here it is integrated into the music, the riffs sound folk-like at times! just like this band called Dominus which played his own iron-branded sort of DM, Adultery play his own BM, and though i can hardly get a word of what they say i guess they sing in their own language =) the prod is a bit muddy (but quite good for BM! ^^) and they sometimes use a bit too much reverb here and there, but i reckon this is why i like that band...kindda special in the end! hail! \m/

Adultery - Slovanská Krev 2004
Genre: BM
Tracklist:
01 Cesta do krajin vytoužených

07 Navia

Over yonder lies a dark forgotten land!

Film School - Film School 2006

brought you some flower this morning! ^^ no it's not pop, it's just rock or perhaps post-rock from SF, USA! if you like 80's influenced bands that one should really appeal to you ...and if you don't, no worries there is much more to dig and find out! they sound a bit like pink floyd or radiohead perhaps at time, cause they use quite a lot of synth sounds in their song though you don't hear it that much, it's rather subtle and completely tie the whole thing up...that this band is really good at making atmosphere, that's why i compared it to PF or R so hope you enjoy, i do ^^

Acephalous - Divine Purity - (2007)

While we're investing brutality, let's have a look at belgium =) they have quite a solid scene regarding metal and Acephalous does nothing to undermine it, quite the opposite! they are not the uttermost original band ever but in they mixed style of Black death metal they are serious candidates, and this is only their debut album if im not mistaken! BM wise (and guitar wise!) they remind me of immortal, their DM side would be more like crown of thorn (or the crown as they must call themselves now). Blasting riffs and crazy mechanical double bass, guttural and scream vox, dark arpeggios...what about a hellish symphony for lunch!? ^^

Acephalous - Divine Purity - (2007)
Genre: DM, BM
Tracklist:
1 Another Dawn, Another Death
2 Bloodfull Moon
3 Divine Purity
4 Red Of Children's Blood
5 Magalomanious Killing
6 Pure Damnation
7 Tears Of Blood
8 Into The Abyss (Instrumental)
9 The Last Black Rose

Rotten from the inside!

In Vain - Wounds 2005

Perhaps this name is familiar to you....anyway this band is difficult to describe...they are violent ...BM type of thing, but also quite technical as would be a grindcore squad of berserkers or a troop of medieval minstrel(!^^) ....and also quite unpredictable! their song are definitely in the vein of progressive stuff, call it 8 bit grindy-death-black-O-blues-folky-matic progressive sort of thing if you want =O ! but they have long tracks in which you have loads of differents and crazy atmosphere...well enough said ...i think they kick ass....what about you? ready to get a thrashing??!

In Vain - Wounds 2005
Genre: any wild guess? 哈哈

LPD is really an interesting band and they should appeal to almost any metalheads IMHO cause their music includes so many different elements from almost all you can find in metal...they have chunky passages in the biohazard or pro-pain fashion, BM like things at times... a bit in the style of emperor's grandiose ambiances, powerful bass driven riff like in stoner...also quite like what the Melvins do, and cool instrumental passages ... well this album is really great to me as is the musicianship, so i hope it will be the same for you as well! \m/

Varo - hardcore beach

well as you can see iam back again ...not for long i guess but doesnt matter! ^^ Perhaps you know these girls cause apparently they come from Taiwan...anyway, their style is really pretty cool, a lot of electronic from ambiant atmosphere to a more AFX like type of thing, grinding guitars a bit in the style of Atari TR but less aggressive even so! add a smidgen of cold dark Burzumesque atmosphere here and there...this is electronic music for the most part, ....and it's pretty f"4^^ng awesome!

Illdisposed - The Prestige (2008)

Illdisposed have released their new album recently and at first i was a bit disappointed with it because i thought their were indulging a bit too much in melodical passages, which is not the aim of DM IMHO! but after a few weeks i listened to it again and i completely changed my mind, actually i think this album is very good, and that melody and brutality are very well balanced together... of course it's Illdisposed so they have kept their style ...but their songs are really good with no dead time or floppy moments, and though my fav album remains Submit (and there's something rotten ...and kokaiinum and...! ^^), that one's groovy all along and seriouly kicks ass!

The Fiery Furnaces - Blueberry Boat - 2004

Perhaps you already know these guys cause i think i played them before...but anyway, they are a favourite band of mine and i know no other band like them! their style is not easy to define cause they use so many different things into each of their song, but i really like that psyche keyboard, and the theatrical like ambiances they create...the music is rather complex but i think they managed to keep it as entertaining as any thing labeled easy listening...hope you enjoy =)

These Arms Are Snakes - Oxeneers or The Lion Sleeps When Its Antelope Go Home

TAAS is not very famous (more in the US than in Europe i'm sure howver) but their music is cool, they play some alternative rock and add some strange texture to their sound (especially on the bass). they have a cool tone, quite their own, which is not so easy =) saw them onstage and i must they they are like balls of energy, especially the vocalist who's really doing a performance besides his vox parts...the album is good, but if you see them around check them out, they are well worth it ... and perhaps they'll even pay a visit to your place one of these days ... after all they came to my small remote town ... ah ah

Blind Passengers - Bastard (1999)

i'm back online, don't really know how long this is gonna last ( a long time i hope...) but at least i can make a new play =) so here is a band that play some music in the style of marylin manson or some shit like that...basically metal and industrial =) don't know anything about those guys but i quite enjoy their style so i hope you will as well...anyway one thing is for sure is that i won't have the time to make as many plays as i used to = / ... and my music collection is rather stagnating at the moment as i have shitloads of problems grabbing anything that is on foreign land... but does this matter??! not at all! ^^ as long as i can play some stuff once and a while...you see...metal nevers dies... the ancient phoenix rises again from its smouldering ashes .... but first the mighty dragon must come by and kick his butt...and hopefully it did it once more!! ah ah! enjoys!

Kristendom - Awakening The Chaos

Kristendom... certainly not a moniker that rings a bell in your mind i guess!lol they are from France and play Death Metal...Awakening the Chaos is their 3rd or fourth album and i think it is their best! if you like it old school or from the 90's, then you'll be on cloud nine! ah ah! it's really groovy and i reckon it's a bit in the vein of six feet under at times from that regard, however, Kristendom's music is far more elborate and entertaining, with layers of synth used here and there to strengthen the feeling of darkness. No revolution here, ...granted.., but who cares?! these lads know their trade for sure, and that's enough for me! enjoy!

Fiend Without a Face - Fiend Without a Face (2000)

We're reaching my last plays in here now with only a few days to go before i leave for good...Fiend Without a Face is a band i have never played and yet they are certainly one i like very much... the vocalist has something of jello biafra from Dead Kennedys which is just awesome! i don't know about you but i grew up with that kind of sound (and also classical music...Tchaikovsky, Bach & Wagner!) and it always bring tons of memories everytime i spin this one =) music wise it's just rockabilly, but they have a very cool way of playing it, horror-style-B-movie like!...some influences from the misfits perhaps ...or aping another band called zombies from outter space (well some stuff like that, can't remember! ah ah ) ... whatever, excellent album, warmly advised! enjoy =D

HEAD OF DAVID - White Elephant 1989

What if you take a band like The Doors, when completely spaced out of course, and drown them into a reverating and throbbing enveloppe....well you might get something sounding somewhat like Head of David! If you don't like experimental...the kind that make you feel like you're too strung out to grasp the world around you...then i would suggest your leaving the room in a hurry!^^... however for all those still in here, and wondering what's gonna blow outta their speakers... let me give you a clue... the spirit of R'n'R might be what some call it! ah ah! enjoy!

Yargos - To Be Or Not To Be (2005)

Perhaps you already know Yargos but if you don't i highly advise you to lend an ear to that one! being no fan of prog metal i can tell you that they are definitely worth a shot ... everything in this album is great, the vox, the melodies, the production ... here you have it all...quality and quantity, cause the album reaches above 1 hour of running time, which is quite a lot (...well i mean quite a lot compared to the grindcore stuff i listen to! ah ah!)... and everything is pefectly balanced, no instrument encroach on any other, all fits perfectly in its place ... it's not that much violent but it definitely rocks! well...not much to add, this is just brilliant! enjoy!

Carnarium - Constelaciones De Requiems 2002

How about turning Barrocco for a short while...don't worry, just the time to travel back to the Renaissance period and meet that Spanish band called Carnarium! =) a pretty good band actually, they have female vox in the style of Elend's Les Tenebres du Dehors [The outter darkness] ...and perhaps even better performed! but what i like most is the brutal vox they use, in the best DM fashion! yummie! very guttural and cavernous growls with sad and creepy ambiances a la craddle of filth, typical of the BM line! Most of the songs are pretty cool, hovering between a fine blend of sweetness and agression! in that regard, i think this band has something of Septic Flesh, that is they use several simple melodic lines weaved together into a more intricate pattern. Well, a really interesting band picking a lot of different elements from various metal style and combining them in a unique way ...well worth checkin' out IMHO!^^ \m/

강인오 (Ino Kang) - My World 2005

강인오 is a guitar player i discovered rather recently while trawling the web for something on joe satriani! ^^ and actually style-wise he's quite reminicent of good old statch. Not over technical (i mean by that no indulging in hyper speed playing) but definitely under the same sway of rock/blue influence, whether we consider his sound or the way he plays (rhythm wise). This is his first album and though it's certainly not going to revolutionize anything, the album is really cool and funky, and it will definitely make you have a good time for 3/4 of an hour! enjoy!

Razors edge - Sweet 10 thrashers (2006)

Let's raise our fist to that band from Japan! Razor Edge plays the best punk style to my ears, they have catchy and gripping rhythm and despites the fact that this is a music style which has not much novelty to bring us, they have done it all the same! ...and as you press the play button, you just feel the surge of adreanalin rushing up your spine and taking control of your neck and head! quicker (and cheaper!) than any kind of drug you might find on this planet! if there is one kind of harcore thrash punk to save one day, let it be that one! the album is very short so no time to waste...come on!!! bring your booze, your "brooze!" and let's punk!!!! hail! \m/

Kermheat - Humanchico 2005

There it's done! France has spawned another weirdo! lol there was ron thal aka bumblefoot now we have kermheat...the frog! ah ah ^^ i'm making fun of him but actually this guy is quite a killer! as technical as ron thal and as experimental as buckethead or Matthias Ia Eklundh! the album is really funny with lots of weird sounds and "fuckin' this... fuckin' that" sound clip vox... this guy is not gonna bore you ...even for a split second! summing up his style or giving a label to his music is quite impossible really...the only fact that we still can cling to in this world of his own is that there is but one rule ...there's no rule, so fend for yourself!! ah ah! and just to mention it, missing that one would be a shame!^^

Yakuza - Samsara 2006

I don't think i ever played this band in here, what a shame! as it is definitely a fav band of mine =D they are quite unique in their kind and i love how they blend the different influences they put into their music...it's psychedelic, extremely heavy and absolutely brilliant! there is hardly any word i can use to describe what they do but Yakusa are utterly the masters of their trade! proficient musicians with a mighty spirit and an unquenchable thirst for the exploration of uncharted territories ...as one of my friend often says "you don't like that one? then why don't you just fuck off and die bonehead fucker!...umh..uhm.. no offense intended of course!" ah ah! i wouldn't go that far though ^^ lol so enjoy!

Heavy Lord - From Cosmos To Chaos

what about a nice trip to Europe, and more particularly to Holland... but don't be afraid we're not setting off to see mills and tulips... Heavy Lord is not really into that, ... not at all indeed! ah ah ... i guess they would be more interested in ancient behemoth vestiges and sabbathian riffing! actually the vox kindda remind me of Phil Anselmo, especially that peculiar husky growling, and the music itself is more akin to Cathedral like bands, that is 70's inspired rock riffs with a massive and heavy sound! a pretty good combination IMO! the album is quite short for that genre as it only last 40 minutes or so and i definitely like that, no endless boring song here, the song writting is just excellent and dynamic, ... a one-off band IMHO, so hope you enjoy! =)

春秋 - 春秋

This band is certainly better known to you than it is to me so i hope you can tell me a bit more about them ..like who they are, where they are from ...and so on and so forth! =D music wise i think their style is brilliant, like good old kickin' rock'n'roll or awesome heavy metal ... but what i think is truely cool and catchy about them is that they managed to make something original (to my ears at least!) with rather common material and that is quite a feat!... they use nothing spectacular but they come up with kindda fresh and well thought out ideas... like for instance an arpeggios added here and there, piano, accordion, pipa-like sort of sounds ... and i guess that makes quite a difference in the end, actually they created ambiances that i seldom, if ever, find in non-chinese bands! like an extreme version of 冷酷仙境! ah ah! just listen to 传奇 for example and you'll hear what i mean! ... The singer has also a great voice, i really like the way he sings and though i only get bits and pieces of what he says, i clearly feel the energy oozing from his vox! i don't know if that "spring and autumn" (Chun Qiu) moniker has a special significance or a hidden meaning to it but they kick ass all the same! rock on!

Monstrum - VIII Dzieñ Tygodnia (2007)

Before i leave for good i still have some time to play a few more stuff after i guess it will be more difficult and perhaps too much time demanding ... anyway ... Monstrum ... did you know they existed??! ah ah! ... well at least after you listened to their music they should remain in your mind for some time! the band is not downright original ... well, they play heavy metal... but they are really great whatsoever ... i could go as far as ascribing some Maiden-like spirit and enthusiasm to them ... really! they have a knack for that genre, they sing in their own language (Polish i think) which is great but i also reckon that it will likewise be their greatest impediment to achiving a worldwide fame =) the music is rather technical and can sometimes be a bit in the line of prog stuff ... minus the keyboard! this is not my fav style nevertheless i found that band really catchy and i guess you are very likely to find it to your taste as well ... so have a go! ... and enjoy! ;)

Earthtone9 - Arc Tan Gent [2000]

A bro advised not too much pop at once for some obscure health reasons ^^, so in case you have strayed off a bit too much on the wrong side because of the previous play, try this medication! =) It is likewise a band i love cause they have flawless songs IMHO, and an awsome prod! they come from mother England and despites i labelled them metal it is not that brutal ...though the music can turn out quite ballsy at times!lol i have never seen them on stage but from what i heard they are just brilliant in that context as well ... no wonder i'd say, given the albums they have released! the music is a bit in the line of Tool to give you a clue about what these blokes sound like..or perhaps even A perfect circle to a certain extent! well hope you have fun with it! \m/

Advantage Lucy - Echo Park 2005

Here is a band i like very much, the music of which hovers between My little Airport and YUI, just as does the voice of the chick singing! the melodies are pretty cool and easy going, and the atmospheres are really dreamy though far less experiemental than those of My Little Airport. Indeed the music is pretty much anchored in rock overall and not so much in electronic! i must mention that there is one song i don't like much called "is this love" which i think is rather repetitive and boring, though it is not that bad even so!lol but there are plenty of other tracks to make up for it so don't waste your time with it! my fav is certainly track 6, 潮騒, which has a somewhat bjork-like quality to it, perhaps i shun a bit "is this love" cause it is the one track following my fav indeed ...and it is definitely no match for it! ah ah! ....well a great album to me, hope you like it!

Lumen - Правда 2007

Here is a band from Russia...sorry... i can't be more specific!^^ they play cool rock music hovering between what i'd call "heavy" poppy-tailored melodies to much heavier ones ... a bit like stuffs in the genre of muse (or something alike! ah ah!), a band that is mixing soft and more energetic ambiances ... overall the music and the way it's composed is kindda like some energetic punk rock! the vox are in russian and i just love the sound they gave to the guitars ... sharp and full of warm mids!lol well the thing i would have done on that album is perhaps to shorten some bits here and there, but not that much whatsoever ... cool band definitely ... and the last song is a quiet one!lol enjoy! \m/

Glorior Belli - Manifesting The Raging Beast

Now, after the main course, we usually have a log ... an icy one!lol .... in that case, a band coming from my home country ... and i must say that i am very pleased with how the BM scene is developping at the moment ... the spirit has not been left by the side of the road ... and the atmosphere is grimmer and more polished than ever! =D when i listen to them, the most famous band that comes to my mind is definitely Satyricon during their early period. Nevertheless i think they have found their own left hand path to the black kingdom cause though we have the same combination of icy atmospheres a la Burzum, raspy cavernous vox (in the style of Satyricon as a matter of fact), rather pounding and varied drum patterns ... and a huge solo in slayer's style on the last track!...i guess we can confidently say they have done it their own way ... and i just love that!lol

Oh! look who's at the door! Mr Drill...and along with his wafting stench, he brought some brain and a putrified calf for the new year! how nice of him! ^^ ah ah! how to better start a new year than with a deluge of brutality, speed and aggression!? ...i see you're at loss for words as well ... actually don't exert yourself, there is no better way ... but beware, this album is extremely short ...under 20 minutes!...however when one plays that kind of music, then even a small span of time such as those 20 minutes easily tantamounts to .... more than 10 hours of ass shaking over some poppy!lol pretty technical ... very impressive actually, brutal, and yet groovy .... that's today's menu! Bon Appetit! \m/
